Spicy corn Recipe

Spicy corn is made out of boiled and crushed corn kernels by adding spicy green chillies.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Corn Cob Pressure cooked or boiled in salt water.
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 2 red dry chillies
  • 5-6 curry leaves
  • 2-3 spicy green chillies
  • 1/2 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp sugar *optional*
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 4 tbsp sev an Indian snack consisting of long, thin strands of gram flour, deep-fried and spiced
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves finely chopped for garnishing

Instructions
 

  • Remove corn kernels from boiled cobs.
  • Crush half corn kernels and Keep other half corns as whole kernels.
  • Heat the oil in a pan Add dry chillies, curry leaves and pinch of asafoetida.
  • Now add green chilli and ginger paste and saute for few seconds.
  • Add crushed and whole corn kernels, sugar and salt and mix well. Cook it for 5 minutes.
  • Switch off the stove add 1 tbsp sev and lemon juice, mix well.
  • Take spicy corn in serving bowl and garnish with sev and coriander leaves.
